Gould & Ratner has been involved in major commercial and industrial property acquisitions and developments, leasing, and dispositions in the Chicago area and across the country. Examples of our work include:
- Represented major investor in entity acquiring Rockefeller Center complex of 10 office buildings with approximately 6.5 million rentable square feet in a transaction valued in excess of $1.8 billion.
- Local counsel for group that acquired the Sears Tower in Chicago, including $825 million of securitized mortgage and first and second level mezzanine financing.
- Represented real estate fund in a contribution/sale of 1.6 million rsf Building in Chicago to a limited partnership in which interests were to be syndicated to overseas investors.
- Represented client in formation of development partnership with major developer of commercial properties worldwide to develop and acquire major office and other commercial properties.
- Local counsel to client for multi-million dollar purchase of storage facilities in Illinois.
- Local counsel for real estate fund acquiring 70% interest in 1 million rsf Chicago office building.
- Represented real estate fund in $160 million acquisition of 1 million rsf office building in Chicago in partnership with major pension fund.
- Represented major Chicago corporation in 320,000 rsf lease for corporate headquarters and securities firm in negotiation of 40,000 rsf lease for Chicago headquarters.
- Represented the owners and developers in the leasing and management of office, retail, and industrial buildings including 55 E. Monroe Street, 222 N. LaSalle Street, 223 N. Michigan Avenue, and 20 N. Clark Street, and One North State Retail, in Chicago.
