Office Building, Industrial Site and Mixed-Use Developments

Our firm represents developers and investor groups in sophisticated and large-scale office, industrial and mixed-used development projects.  Our work in this area has  involved the conversion of existing facilities, as well as the demolition and construction of additional commercial, residential and industrial facilities.  Development projects include:

• Development of new base village at Snowmass, Colorado, comprising approximately 670 residential and hotel units and approximately 100,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.
• Represented developer in creation of three major business parks in Lake County, Illinois.  Beginning with the acquisition of undeveloped land and the creation of multiple partnerships and joint ventures (each designed to maximize the developer's flexibility and tax benefits), our lawyers worked with the client to zone, finance, construct, and lease or sell multiple sites within the client's business parks.
• Represented purchaser of urban retail center as part of a vertical subdivision of a mixed use building.
• Represented our client in zoning, tax structuring, and disposition of major retail site in Chicago's Southwest suburbs.
