Jessica Lingertat's areas of practice include all aspects of commercial lending and real estate law, including the representation of lenders, developers, management companies, and other corporate clients in commercial real estate transactions, leases and financing and with respect to development issues and related business matters. She is active in the acquisition, financing, development, and operation of commercial properties, including office, mixed-use, industrial, and residential projects, with a historical emphasis on homebuilding and construction finance. Jessica also represents corporate clients in a variety of business matters, including commercial financing and other transactional matters. Additionally, Jessica counsels clients in the gaming industry in connection with transactional matters.
Jessica earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and her Juris Doctor from the Marquette University Law School, where she was an editor of the Marquette Law Review.
Jessica was featured in a profile of local real estate attorneys in the January 14, 2002 issue of The Illinois Real Estate Journal.
Recent Representative Matters
- Counsel for mid-sized lenders in connection with asset-based lending, construction, term mortgage, and other commercial loans.
- Counsel for private lender in connection with large construction loans for Golf Course Project and Interval-Interest Resort Project.
- Counsel for Regional and National, Publicly-Traded Homebuilders in the acquisition, entitlement, financing and development of residential communities in the Greater Chicago Metropolitan Area.
- Representation of client in the acquisition and financing of retail portion of Chicago Loop property which was the subject of a vertical subdivision separating ownership of office and retail elements of existing building.
- Representation of client unwind of joint venture between two developers and related distribution of assets.
- Representation of multiple clients in the acquisition, sale and refinance of various commercial properties, including hotel, industrial and apartment projects.
