Michelle Selig earned her Bachelor's degree from Cornell University in 1995 and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1998 from the George Washington University Law School, where she was an editor of the Journal of International Law.
Michelle's areas of practice include all aspects of real estate law, including the representation of developers, lenders, management companies, and other corporate clients in commercial real estate transactions, leases, financing, land use issues, and related business matters. She is active in the acquisition, financing, development, and operation of a variety of commercial properties, including office, industrial, and residential projects.
Recent Representative Matters
- Counsel for Regional and National Homebuilders in the acquisition, entitlement, financing, and development of numerous residential communities in the Greater Chicago Metropolitan Area.
- Representation of multiple clients in the acquisition, sale and refinance of various commercial properties, including hotel, industrial, and apartment projects.
- Counsel for mid-sized lenders in connection with construction and term mortgage loans.
