Joe Bonavita focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation, where he has been involved in a wide range of antitrust, contracts, employment, gaming, intellectual property, and real estate disputes.
Joe represents and counsels clients on a range of matters, including copyright, trademark, and domain name registration and litigation. In the area of gaming, Joe represents clients in gaming litigation and counsels clients on regulatory, licensing, and compliance matters.
During law school, Joe focused his law studies on intellectual property, receiving a Certificate of General Intellectual Property Law. He was a student volunteer for the DePaul University College of Law Intellectual Property Clinic, where he assisted pro bono clients with trademark and copyright issues. Joe was recognized for his academic achievements by being named to the Order of the Coif and receiving CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Law and the Mass Media, Secured Transactions and Criminal Law. Additionally, he was a staff writer for the Journal of Art and Entertainment Law.
