Gould & Ratner Hosts Seminar on Doing Business with China: Guidelines for U.S. Companies and Entrepreneurs
Gould & Ratner hosted a client seminar on doing business in China on August 19, 2005. The program featured three experts who discussed the do's and don'ts of Chinese business formation and operation:
Scott Y. Guan, Partner, Yao Liang Law Office. Mr. Guan's practice is focused on representing international and Chinese businesses in matters concerning contract law, labor law, merger and acquisition transactions, and financing through international capital markets. Additionally, he represents clients in arbitration and litigation proceedings before the China International Economic & Trade Arbitration Commission and PRC courts. Mr. Guan's firm has offices in Shanghai and Beijing.
Anita Y. Tang, Managing Director, Royal Roots Global Inc. Ms. Tang founded Royal Roots Gobal in 1994 as a management and investment consultancy focusing on U.S.-China business activities. She has helped U.S. firms sell products and services to China, source from and invest in China, and has also helped Chinese firms enter the U.S. market. She has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the U.S.
Jeffrey White, Vice President, Wells Fargo HSBC Trade Bank. Mr. White is located in the Chicago office of Wells Fargo HSBC Trade Bank, a joint venture between Wells Fargo and the HSBC Group, the only chartered bank dedicated solely to working with international companies. He has worked with a number of U.S. and foreign companies, providing trade finance, foreign exchange, international cash management and cross-border finance solutions. Mr. White has lived and worked in Hong Kong and the U.S.
