Gould & Ratner won an appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in a case involving a product liability claim resulting from a fatal collision.  The court ruled that under Illinois law a vehicle manufacturer is not under a duty to design a product that is safe to crash into.  This decision, which was a significant victory for the firm's client, was profiled in the October 6, 2008 issue of the BNA Product Safety & Liability Reporter.  G&R partner Bob Carson handled the trial and appeal.
