A member of the firm’s Corporate Practice, Rob Chidester provides strategic counsel to investment firms and businesses on a range of corporate matters, including capital raises, securities issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contracts. He also regularly serves as an outside general counsel, advising on both complex transactions and routine operational matters.

“We are very pleased to have Rob become one of our partners,” said Jessica Lingertat, a managing partner of the firm. “His corporate experience, especially in private equity and venture capital investments in technology companies, is a great value and resource for our clients.”

Before joining Gould & Ratner last year, Chidester previously served as a financial and policy analyst with the U.S. Department of Energy's Laboratory System. There, he evaluated energy technology research and energy infrastructure projects in China and Northeast Asia. He maintains his involvement in the energy industry, and many of his clients are in the energy and “clean technology” space.

For more than 80 years, Gould & Ratner LLP has provided comprehensive legal counsel and business advice to Fortune 500 corporations, closely held businesses, financial institutions and entrepreneurs, as well as families and their businesses in corporate, real estate, litigation, tax, estate and succession planning, human resources and employment, construction, environmental, policyholder insurance coverage, intellectual property and related specialty fields.
