Gould & Ratner is pleased to announce that David Hoeppner, a senior associate in the firm’s Corporate Practice, has been promoted to partner.

Gould & Ratner recently represented JJD Management in the acquisition of Metaltec. JJD Management is a family office consortium owned by Lorentzen Investments, Imperial Group and Ashland Capital Partners. Headquartered in Michigan, Metaltec is a leading manufacturer and distributor of consumable metal abrasive materials used in blast cleaning, surface profiling, shot peening and other surface preparation and finishing applications.

Gould & Ratner co-sponsored the Crain’s Chicago Business 2022 Fall Real Estate Forum titled “Future of the Loop” on September 21 at the Chicago Club. Mike Reschke, CEO of developer Prime Group, participated in a fireside chat led by Crain’s reporter Danny Ecker to discuss COVID-19’s effect on downtown office buildings and why he expects a development “rebound” coming soon.

Gould & Ratner hosted a reception for the 2022 CREW Chicago Convention at our office on September 21. The 60 attendees, including Amy Blumenthal (a member of the CREW Chicago Distinguished and Notable Advisory Board), Linsey Cohen and Jessica Lingertat (also members of CREW Chicago) enjoyed signature cocktails, appetizers and networking.

Gould & Ratner hosted the LawExchange International 2022 Autumn Conference September 8-10 at the Sofitel Chicago. 60 delegates (and their companions) from nearly 30 firms across the globe attended the three day event that included a welcome reception at the firm, walking tours for companions and social events at the House of Blues and University Club.
