Virginia Harding, a member of Gould & Ratner’s Real Estate Practice, celebrated her retirement on Jan. 20 after 48 years of practicing law at Gould & Ratner. Virginia began her career with the firm in 1975 when she joined the Real Estate Group as our first female associate.  She later became Gould & Ratner’s first female equity partner, before continuing her practice as an of counsel attorney in 1995.

Gould & Ratner will sponsor the Illinois REjournals Annual Forecast on January 10. The event itself will cover everything real estate in Illinois, from the state of the market in Chicago, to regional economic development opportunities for investors and developers, and more.

Gould & Ratner has been named to Midwest Real Estate News “Best of the Best” law firms for the sixth consecutive year. The firm was ranked No. 13 of all Midwest firms with commercial real estate practices, jumping up several spots from last year’s No. 18 placement. This ranking is reflective of the total number of deals valued at $1 million and above that Gould & Ratner completed in 2021. 

Gould & Ratner was named CREW Chicago’s “Sponsor of the Year” for 2022. The firm’s award win was announced at the CREW Chicago Annual Meeting on Dec. 6.

As part of a nationwide initiative to foster meaningful change and promote diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, Gould & Ratner is participating in the Mansfield Rule for Midsized Firms.
