Gould & Ratner Managing Partner Jessica Lingertat and Real Estate Practice Chair Joe Marzo have been selected as finalists by the Illinois Real Estate Journal for its 2023 Illinois Real Estate Journal Awards. Lingertat has been nominated for the Woman of the Year Award, and Joe is a finalist for the Real Estate Lawyer of the Year award.

Dan Crowley, a partner in Gould & Ratner’s Real Estate Practice, recently participated in a Q&A session with ULI Chicago. The conversation was part of ULI Chicago’s Residential Conversions Initiative, which helps communities tackle the challenges associated with converting commercial spaces to residential ones. Fred Tannenbaum, a partner in Gould & Ratner’s Corporate Practice, has been selected as co-president of the America–Israel Chamber of Commerce Chicago (AICC). Fred will serve as co-president alongside Sally Fernandez, CEO of Safety Dynamics. Gould & Ratner partner Matt Goldfarb also serves as a member of the AICC board of directors.

Congratulations to Gould & Ratner’s COO Ken Koehn for being recognized as a 2023 SurePoint Community award winner. Ken received the individual award for “Commitment to Community” at the IGNITE SurePoint Conference in Las Vegas from March 5-8. Gould & Ratner’s CFO Michael Hill and Assistant Controller Craig Neukirch also attended the conference.

Gould & Ratner is pleased to announce recent leadership changes at the practice level. Rob Chidester, Corporate Practice, Steve Gustafson, Tax and Wealth Transfer Practice, Joe Marzo, Real Estate Practice and Eric Sparks, Litigation Practice, have been selected to serve as practice chairs. Joe and Rob will serve their first terms as practice chairs, while Eric and Steve continue their service, previously having served for several years.

Gould & Ratner will sponsor the Illinois REjournals Women in Commercial Real Estate Summit on March 8. The event will feature panels on industry trends and topics including commercial construction and a state of the market update, as well as celebrating notable women in commercial real estate.
