Having spent much of his career in law firms, Matthew Donehoo brings more than 25 years of legal technology experience to his role as Director of Technology & Innovation. He works with firm leadership to develop technology strategies that support the firm’s business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the delivery of legal services to clients.

Matthew takes a practical, business-focused approach to innovation, evaluating new tools and emerging technologies based on their ability to solve problems, improve workflows, and deliver meaningful value. His experience spans enterprise applications, data analytics, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology modernization.

He is particularly focused on helping the firm navigate the evolving role of artificial intelligence. By taking a thoughtful approach to technology planning and implementation, he helps ensure that innovation supports the firm’s long-term goals and creates tangible benefits for both attorneys and clients, while also ensuring the protection of sensitive information.

Before joining Gould & Ratner, Matthew held technology leadership and consulting roles with several law firms and legal technology organizations.
