Gould & Ratner is proud to celebrate the one-year anniversary of its Denver office, marking a year of significant growth and expanding presence in the Rocky Mountain legal market.

Since opening its doors in July 2024 with just two attorneys, the Denver office has more than tripled its headcount to now include seven professionals—four full-time attorneys, one of counsel and two professional staff—encompassing diverse practice areas such as corporate, private funds, M&A, securities, privacy and data security, litigation, tax law and real estate. Over the past year, Gould & Ratner’s Denver-based team has originated around 140 clients and handled 250 matters for organizations across industries like private equity, venture capital, manufacturing, software, technology, healthcare, construction, consulting, cannabis, and alcohol and beverage.

“This past year has been about building a strong foundation—expanding our capabilities, deepening client relationships and helping our clients achieve meaningful results,” said Chris McCall, Partner in Charge of the Denver office and Chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice. “We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited about the road ahead.”

The team’s client work includes engagements with Aspen Skiing Company, Float Health, Golden Aluminum, Zentana Conference Resorts, Balanced Health Botanicals d/b/a CBDistillery, and Gargoyle Enterprises Inc. d/b/a Laws Whiskey House, whose groundbreaking partnership with CU Athletics marked the first of its kind between a distillery and a college athletic program.

The momentum of the Denver office is fueled by a deep bench of talent, including Chambers-ranked attorneys Dean Richardson and Garrett Graff—both recognized leaders in cannabis law—as well as associate Todd Johnson.

“We’ve built something special here—a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that reflects the spirit of the Colorado business community and that has seamlessly integrated with our Chicago colleagues,” McCall added. “I’m looking forward to what our second year holds as we continue to grow and deliver outstanding legal service to our clients.”

The Denver office reinforces Gould & Ratner’s commitment to supporting growth-oriented businesses and entrepreneurs across the country. The firm’s full-service model and collaborative culture continue to drive momentum as it deepens its roots in Colorado.
