Print

Gould & Ratner recently provided U.S. legal counsel and oversight of foreign counsel in the acquisition of Manufacture Générale de Joints (MGJ) for Selig Group. Chicago-based Selig Group manufactures container sealing and venting products for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, healthcare, personal care and industrial applications. MGJ is a France-based manufacturer of foam liners with operations in Canada. MGJ will adopt the Selig Group name, but the business will continue to operate from its primary facility in France.

Brian Gilbert, a Managing Partner and Chair of the Corporate Practice, led a team of lawyers and paralegals that included Rebecca Smart and Susan Mosteller. Winston & Strawn served as French counsel for the acquisition.
